The Power of Love: Faithmates Robert & Denise

Love finds a way on Faithmate. Remember the story of Robert & Denise? It’s been a year since they got married after meeting on Faithmate – but their story is so much more than boy-meets-girl:

“Faithmate was a blessing to Robert and me,” says Denise H., who becomes a blushing bride all over again when she describes her match made in heaven. She recites every detail as if it were yesterday.

“Robert first contacted me through Faithmate on Aug. 1, 2007. We emailed each other and exchanged numbers.” Though hundreds of miles separated them, they immediately found so many common bonds that they decided to take the next step.

“He drove from Atlanta up to Maryland to meet me mid-August.”Denise and Robert first date Aug 2007

The stars burst right away for these two – says Denise, “I knew, even from our first encounter, that he was special,” and clearly he felt the same way. “We continued to communicate with one another,” with Robert traveling between Maryland and Atlanta.

But a challenge from above was laid before the happy couple. On Dec. 7, 2007 Robert suffered a stroke.

Now, any Christian will tell you that barriers are made to be stepped over. When a door is shut, use the window –

Once Robert was released from the hospital in January, Denise flew to Atlanta for 11 days to care for him.

“During that time, God brought us closer together.” Though he was getting better, Robert had to move back to New Jersey to be with family since he could not yet work.

“We continued to see one another. I actually helped him with his move, driving his car from Atlanta,” writes Denise, before drawing a big breath for the beautiful next chapter of the story:

Rev Robert Burrell Preaching 2x1

“Robert proposed to me Aug. 4, 2008. We immediately began planning our wedding for May 16, 2009.”

But this love would not wait, so “we decided to get married in my home Sept. 25th.”

Miraculously, Robert has had a complete recovery from his stroke. To celebrate this union, Faithmate brought Robert and Denise visited Bishop Noel Jones at the City of Refuge Church in Los Angeles in December.

The Power of Love is alive and well on Faithmate.

Amen!

1. I prayed to God about the man I am communicating with, and
put up a fleece before God to confirm if THIS MAN IS THE ONE and his will
for me. He answered that fleece & confirmed YES he is because this man  did
what I ask God to have him do in the timeframe I spoke to God about.   So I
know now he is the one ordained for me from the foundations of the world.

2. Since God has answered my prayer, financially I have so much else to do
that I can take a break and look forward to contacting you with the good
news as to when we are getting married.

SO PRAISE GOD THIS IS A SUCCESS STORY IN THE MAKING. I GIVE YOU PERMISSION
TO POST THIS. MY HEART IS OVERWHELMED AND THE JOY  IS LIKE RIVERS FLOWING
FROM OUR BELLY.  I’VE LEARNED TO LET GOD DO IT IN HIS TIME AND NOT GET
AHEAD OF GOD. HE IS DOING IT!!!

God sent me a steak dinner because I didn’t settle for chicken, Glory to God!

Good Morning:  I apologize, I just went to the bottom of the return message you sent me and the computer said I found my Faithmate on my own and that isn’t true.  The love of my life found me on FAITHMATE; it was because of this website that we are together. It is important that the computer does not get it twisted as our sisters and brothers in Christ need to know that this really works.

My story: All I can say is “Only God!”  When the Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me to sign up for Faithmate I didn’t want to because of stories heard from other people and when I finally did it seemed like I would send out messages to people and not get a response or get a smile and nothing else so I decided to get off of Faithmate last September.

On Monday, 13 October 2008 I was walking thru JC Penny’s and met a co-worker who I didn’t know was a Pastor and a Prophet and we were talking about the goodness of the Lord when, in the middle of the conversation she changed the subject and simply said, “You know Sis, we know that it is not good that man be alone but the same is for a woman.  Sometimes you have to put yourself out there and trust God to do the rest.”

Immediately I was convicted!  God did not tell me to do anything except to put myself out there and rest assured, I immediately started praying to ask for forgiveness driving home and could not wait to get there and rectify my act of disobedience. I made an even stronger commitment to God that night to totally trust Him in this because I make mistakes and wrong decisions and because all He asked of me was to put myself out there, I surrendered and let go.

On Sunday, 29 March 2009, I went online to Faithmate and saw a new match and was reading about him and started laughing because he was from Minnesota and raised in New York (where I was born and raised) and at the moment that I decided to send him an email, an email popped up, from him.  That was the 29th of March, on the 31st of March we both knew this was God ordained for this love we had was overwhelming and there were no words to describe the fullness of joy.

I have been divorced for 20 years: 20 years I have waited and I cannot begin to tell you or anyone else how incredible that this is happening to me.  He is a wonderful man of God and for 20 years of waiting, God sent me a steak dinner because I didn’t settle for chicken, Glory to God.

This maybe considered TMI yet I want others to know that our love for God is without words and in that alone, we both refuse to dishonor God in any way for what He has done for us; we are remaining celibate until we are married.

I have every intention of sharing wedding plans, pictures.  This marriage was made in heaven, long before we knew and it is definitely God ordained.

God Bless you and my sincere thanks to everyone involved in having this website, what a blessing.  I will be in touch again.

Sincerely,

Why? Because God has opened doors that are unbelievable!

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus! I’m writing to ask to be removed from the Faithmate website. Why? Because God has opened doors that are unbelievable!

I have been corresponding with a wonderful man of God. So as not to be distracted by any (potential) prospectives, please, please remove me from the website (& cancel my subscription)

I’ll keep you updated regarding this progression!

Thank you FaithMate! God bless you all!
