Bishop Noel Jones, pastor of the City of Refuge Church in Gardena, California, will be appearing in Chicago this weekend, October 15th and 16th. On Thursday the 15th, Bishop Jones will be appearing at the 2009 Faith Works Conference at the House of Hope, 752 114th Street.

On Friday, October 16th, he will be appearing at the Apostolic Faith Church at 3823 South Indiana, Avenue, also in Chicago.

We’re very excited to announce that multi-talented writer Gwen Swan has joined the Faithmate creative team with her new column: “Ask G” – an up close and very personal look at common issues and life challenges faced by black Christian singles.

Ms. Swan has a background in writing for Christian publications, and is best known for her work in the Liguorian magazine. But the breadth of her abilities (Christian issues, women, families, health & fitness, renewable energy, to name a few) and her direct, absolutely R-E-A-L approach is what attracted us to her work.

The one thing Ms. Swan can’t do is hold back when the realities of life are on the line. She stakes her claim with the title of her very first entry in Ask G – “Internet Porn – the Surf of Shame”.

Ms. Swan writes from the heart and doesn’t take kindly to editors, so if you want it Real, catch Ask G.

Bishop Andy C. Lewter joins Bishop Noel Jones at Harvard, August 25, 26

Bishop Noel Jones, Dr. Marla Frederick of the WEB Dubois Institute at Harvard University, and Bishop Andy C. Lewter will be appearing at Harvard University for the 2009 Summer Theological Intensive. The intensive will take place on Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 26.
