I do not know who the person is that actually responded to this young brother, but I commend you on how well his dilemna was addressed. I too applaud this young man on maintaining his virginity, but I also believe he could be missing out on some very very wonderful people if he continues to be closed minded about those that are not virgins. We have all sinned and fallen short of his glory, yet he has forgiven us and thrown everything into the sea of forgetfulness never to be brought up again.
Be proud that you are still a virgin. I give you a round of applause for that, but please, don't hold that over other's heads. You don't know what you could be missing out on.

My dear brother, I commend you for obeying the Bible regarding fornication. However, no matter what the condition of the world and Church may be, remaining abstinent in only our reasonable service (Romans 12:1). As I read your email, I did not feel the love of Christ but felt a judgmental tone. I do agree that God will give us the desires of our heart . . . however you must delight yourself in Him first. Have you submitted yourself to Holy Spirit in all of the other areas of your life? Have you prepared yourself to be a prayer cover for your future wife and children and are you prepared to be a head of household? Successfully navigating through marital waters takes much more than sexual success. None of us should think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. Take a closer look at the life of Jesus and then ask yourself if you have submitted yourself to Holy Spirit to the degree needed for you to die to your flesh and allow the life of Jesus to be lived through you. If you run after God with all of your being, you will find that He will present to you your "good thing."

Good for you brother! You are Blessed

Dont ever believe your faithfullness wont be rewarded. It's simple, IT WILL.

Even if it means that every man's a lier. God is true at his word.

Keep on trusting and believe that if you sow in tears you will reap in joy.

Just be kind, loving and forgiving to all others.
But remember to stand your ground.

Dont be proud over others but be proud in Christ that he gave you the grace to remain a virgin at 23.

To be honest its rare, but God needs to work through someone on the planet to show that his grace does actually work in this area if we are determined to use our self control.

It is one thing to have a purity of body, but another to have a purity of heart. I think you are dangerously close to being self-righteous. Yes, it's a wonderful thing to be sexually pure -- male or female. Yes, there's nothing wrong with wanting an equally pure life partnet. You are a rarity and God bless your heart. But to say, "I want a sexually pure mate" and in the same breath qualify most of the ones you've met that are virgins as unattractive smacks of a little carnality -- especially since the virginity tirade seems exclusive of any other qualities she may possess.

I don't think the responder had more compassion for the women at all. I think the responders main point was to get you to realize your a Christian first and then Virgin. And also I do commend you for remaining a virgin but like it was also said it doesn't make you perfect. We all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God so if a woman was once a whore and confesses her sins and repents truly then she is forgiven and His blood will wash her pure as snow. But you are not wrong for wanting a woman who is virgin I just think its a dangerous path to walk down to think and sets a bad example if you think a woman who is not a virgin is not worthy of you.
